Semoga Allah Ta'ala permudahkan segalanya....amiin

Week 34

Mother:
By this time you have heard and read quite a bit about labor and giving birth. You will have gotten used to having contractions and will get the feeling that these contractions become less like practice and more like the real thing! Your body is getting ready!

The entire labor process can be divided into 3 stages:

Stage 1

Your contractions become more regular and intense and increase in frequency. It is important to know how to time your contractions. It is normal to, initially, doubt whether you are really in labor. Some women first feel as if they have a bit of a flu or are really sleepy. Then, the contractions increase and you will be in the active phase of this first stage. Your contractions will require more attention as they increase in frequency and intensity. Around this moment you will move to the place where you’re going to give birth, whether at home or a clinic. You also move into the next phase, called ‘transition’; as contractions come very close together, this is seen as a short but hard phase. As the ‘transition’ comes to an end you will be entirely dilated already!

Stage 2

This is it! You will begin to push your baby into your world! Even though it might be strange to believe at first, most women actually really enjoy this pushing part, since they feel more actively involved. Your contractions start to feel different and will decrease in frequency. Your midwife or doctor will coach you in how to go about the pushing. A possible episiotomy will be done just before you actually give birth to your baby, which is at the end of this stage! For about 9 months you have been working your way towards this moment!

Stage 3

It is unavoidable, necessary, but quite an anticlimax: giving birth to the placenta. After bringing your baby into this world, you are still in awe of this little miracle in your arms. Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour later you will get the placenta out by giving it a few small pushes. Do start nursing your baby as soon as possible; this will speed up the placenta coming out as well as help stop any possible bleeding. Yes, it is a miracle!

Baby:
Of course your baby is still growing and growing and urinates about 0.5 liter per day! The placenta is producing hormones that activate the milk production in your breasts. Your baby now measures about 43 cm and weighs a whopping 2 kg

Yoga diharamkan

Oleh HELMI MOHD. FOAD

PUTRAJAYA 22 Nov.

Smear campaigns that Barack Obama was a Muslim in disguise have energized Muslim voters across the U.S. to vote to Obama.

CAIRO — Smear campaigns that Barack Obama was a Muslim in disguise have energized Muslim voters across the United States to vote overwhelmingly to the Democratic presidential candidate, experts have agreed.

"It was perfectly all right to call him Muslim, to call him Arab, because that was a smear that we haven't said as a nation: 'That's not OK,' " Jen'nan Ghazal Read, an associate professor of sociology at Duke University, told the Chicago Tribune on Friday, November 7.

"Maybe [Obama's election] will bring that to the fore. It's not OK to say Muslims are not American. They are as American as anyone else."

Obama was elected America's first black president on Tuesday after crushing his Republican rival John McCain.

According to a survey by American Muslim Task Force for Civil Rights and Elections, nearly 90 percent of American Muslims voted for Obama while only 2 percent cast ballot to McCain.

Preliminary Gallup polls reflect similar numbers.

Obama's middle name, Hussein, and a picture of him in a traditional Somali garb during a visit to his father's homeland Kenya in 2006 stoke the "Obama is a Muslim" flames.

For weeks, he had to put up with news reports and rival remarks of being a Muslim in disguise.

Former secretary of State Colin Powell has criticized Republican smear campaigns against Obama, saying it was OK if Obama was Muslim.

Obama is the son of a Muslim-turned-atheist Kenyan father and a white American mother that did not practice religion.

Born in Hawaii, he lived from ages 6 to 10 in Indonesia with his mother and Muslim stepfather.
High Hopes

Experts say the strong Muslim vote for Obama reflects that the U.S. Muslims share the same desire of the wider community to see changes after eight years under the Republican rule.

"This vote was a vote pursuant to an American identity," said Ahmed Younis of Gallup Center for Muslim Studies.

"Pursuant to an experience in America that has significant concern for an economy that's failing, concern for a health-care system that does not seem to meet the needs of the people. Bread-and-butter issues that Americans vote upon, the American Muslim community does as well."

A financial crisis swept the US and the world in September after the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the fourth-largest investment bank, and the financial woes of a number of Wall Street giants. It has knocked down markets worldwide.

Younis said Obama's election gives high hopes of changes in the US policies after eight years under George W. Bush's go-alone policies.

"Amongst Muslims globally, there is high support for freedom of speech and freedom of assembly in the constitutions of their countries," he said.

"Certainly Muslim Americans see the success of Barack Obama's campaign as a vote for hope . . . If we are able to yield that to the people of the world, we've done something amazing."

Fetal development - 30 weeks pregnant

aku dah 30 minggu sekarang..alhamdulillah

Approved by the BabyCentre Medical Advisory Board

Your baby's lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. While your baby may soon slow up growing in length, (he measures about 15.7 inches/ 40 centimetres from crown to toe by now), he will continue to gain weight until he's born.

This week your baby continues to open and shut his eyes. He can probably see what's going on in utero, distinguish light from dark and even track a light source. If you shine a light on your stomach, your baby may move his head to follow the light or even reach out to touch the moving glow. Some researchers think baring your stomach to light stimulates visual development. But don't expect 20/20 vision when your baby is born -- newborns can see a distance of only about 8 to 12 inches/ 20 to 30 centimetres. (Children with normal vision don't reach 20/20 vision until about age 7 to 9.) To complete the picture, your baby now has eyebrows and eyelashes.

Information you need, just when you need it

A pint and a half/ around a litre of amniotic fluid now surrounds your baby but that volume decreases as he gets bigger and has less room in your uterus. As you and the baby continue to grow, don't be alarmed if you feel breathless, as if you can't get enough air; it's just your uterus pressing against your diaphragm. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. At about 34 weeks (or just before birth, if this is your second or third pregnancy), your baby's head will move down into your pelvis as the baby gets into the right position for birth. That will make breathing and eating a lot easier.

Note: Experts say every baby develops differently -- even in utero. These fetal development pages are designed to give a general idea of how a fetus grows in the womb.
